You use condoms because in addition to the bare minimum requirement of really enjoying sex, you are also smart and mindful of your (and your partner’s) reproductive health. As you think about your health in the context of choosing your condom brand, finding a premium condom brand that is free of unsexy chemicals makes all the difference.

When you’re looking for the optimal condom, what matters goes beyond whether you’re after Extra Large, Ultra Thin, or our famous Pleasure Dots models.

Take a look at the ingredients too.

Sir Richard’s condoms are made of all-natural latex and silicone (lubricant). We do not use any fillers in our natural latex, which is a common practice in the industry. Our condoms are free of glycerin, parabens, spermicide and petrochemicals. They are Vegan-certified and PETA-approved with minimal latex odor.

Latex in its pure form is a natural, renewable resource coming from the rubber tree.  However, most condom companies add all sorts of chemicals during the manufacturing process.  People who claim to have a latex allergy could very likely just be having a reaction to the chemicals within the latex.  A true latex allergy is rare and affects less than one percent of the population.   Some condoms also contain the spermicide Nonoxynol-9, which is basically a type of detergent used to kill sperm and STD-causing pathogens.  It can’t decipher between the good guys and the bad buys, so with repeated use it will start killing the skin cells of the vaginal and rectal wall.  And this in turn makes someone even more susceptible to urinary tract infections and STD’s.  N-9 is not good.

And now, for our beloved lube.  Lube makes the world a better place, there is no arguing that. Just be wary of what is lurking in your lube.  Many lubricants used in condoms contain parabens, glycerines, and/or benzocaine.

  • Parabens have been found to interfere with normal hormonally regulated processes, which can lead to a variety of negative side effects.
  • Glycerine is a preservative often added to personal lubricant which doctors have found to increase chances of a yeast infections.
  • Benzocaine is a local anesthetic added to condoms to help numb up the member so that guys can go the distance.

Side effects of this love potion are dizziness, swelling, sweating and itchiness.  None of which are big turn-ons during sex.

We want to be sure you do know that our condoms may contain trace amounts of key stabilizers, specifically corn starch, magnesium carbonate, and ammonia. Here's why we do that: Cornstarch helps keep the latex from sticking to itself and makes our condoms easier to unroll. Magnesium carbonate improves the tensile strength of the natural-latex rubber. Ammonia prevents coagulation and kills unnecessary bacteria.

So you can still have love, lube and last all night long while treating your and your partner’s bodies as the temples they are. Sir Richard’s Condoms are your natural alternative. We have created a condom without any of those un-sexy mood-killing chemicals.  We want you to feel good about everything that touches your body.  Visit to find out more about our all natural line of condoms.
